100% complete

There we go rendered images of my droid head.

Factory Forging is at 70% Complete (or something)

Added in most of the major details this time around now it'll mainly be refining those details and adding in some smaller ones.

Project Update

So I felt the first head I made was limiting my choice of detail so I stayed late today and made a new head and added in details too still have quite a ways to go and hopefully when I go to open it tomorrow I don't have any loading issues.

Started on the project

So right now I know I'm doing a police/SWAT droid I have some reference and went and made a base shape for the head in Maya then brought it over and did a few extrusions on it to get an Idea for what could be separate parts and what doesn't have to be. The middle extruded section I can definitely make separate and the other extrusions can be too again just did this to get the base ideas out on the screen.

Still some issues

So I baked the pottery like I baked the normal maps the way he did and everything but it's only doing gloss and color for me. For him it's doing bump, I think that's the word, too. So I don't know why that's happening I'll do some more work on it tomorrow but here's a badly colored pot things haha.

Having issue

So uh I'm having this weird problem where when I open files the program just freaks out and displays the images below. I have no idea why it's doing this and I've tried opening all kinds of different files. It always does the same thing. If you know what's causing this and how to fix it that would be very helpful. I have watched all the videos now though and I'll put up a post later or tomorrow of the painting but it might have to be on a simple object like a box or pottery. Thank you for understanding and if I still need to go back and paint this console some how let me know and I'll find a way.

I regret this decision.........he works at a decent speed but there are certain things he just glosses over which I had to go back and watch over and over to catch but I did it!
